Changelog7 New1 Fixed
Shipstar adds a rich lifecycle email suite, a dedicated Usage & billing page, and an in-dashboard onboarding checklist to help teams get value faster after every deploy.
You can now control exactly which emails Shipstar sends you — including content ideas, delivery alerts, and the new monthly digest — from Settings or directly from any email's footer. Every notification email now includes a standards-compliant one-click unsubscribe link so you stay in control of your inbox.
Shipstar now sends timely, context-aware emails at key moments: a welcome when your trial starts, a nudge if your scheduled changelog stops running (due to an unreviewed draft, failed generation, or exhausted credits), a notification when a manually triggered or MCP-generated draft is ready to review, and a prompt to connect a distribution destination once you've published your first changelog. Each email links directly to the right place in the dashboard to take action.
Free-plan teams with a connected repository now receive a complimentary AI-generated changelog draft covering the previous calendar month, delivered on the 1st — no credits charged. Approve it and it publishes; opt out anytime via the new "Monthly changelog digest" preference in Settings.
Credits, plan details, and a day-by-day usage chart for the current billing period are now on a dedicated Usage & billing page, accessible from the user menu. Multi-project teams can see a breakdown by project and content type, making it easy to understand exactly where your generation budget is going.
A persistent checklist card now appears on every dashboard page until your team completes the five key setup steps: connecting a repository, generating a draft, approving or publishing it, connecting a destination, and setting up a weekly schedule. Each step links directly to where you need to go, and the card remembers whether you've collapsed it.
When a teammate accepts your invitation to join a Shipstar team, you'll receive an email confirmation with a link to the Team and Review pages so you can start collaborating right away.
If a subscription renewal fails, a banner now appears across the dashboard so billing owners can update their payment method in one click via the Stripe billing portal — and team members are directed to contact their billing owner.
A scheduled generation run covering a quiet commit window now completes as a neutral "no commits" outcome rather than a failed workflow, and the dashboard shows it clearly. Credits are refunded and the occurrence is not retried.
